Sta-Clene^®, a solvent-based advanced-generation formulated carpet, rug, upholstery and stone protector with exceptional oil, water and soil repellency, protects stone, marble, grout and soft surfaces from spills and stains.

Features and Benefits of Sta-Clene Protector:

• Sta-Clene contains no silicone, which would void carpet warranties and would cause carpet to yellow.
• Provides a barrier to dry soil and spills of water-based and oil-based materials.
• Reduces soiling and staining. For stone surfaces such as marble, travertine, slate, limestone, granite, terrazzo, sandstone, mexican tile, saltillo, pavers, non-glazed ceramic tile, non-glazed porcelain tile and non-epoxy grout as well as soft surfaces.
• NOT for use on epoxy grout, vinyl, rubber, VCT, laminates, wood or solvent-sensitive surfaces.
• May also be used on soft, absorptive surfaces such as carpets, rugs and upholstery.

Directions for Protecting Stone, Carpet, Rugs, Upholstery with Sta-Clene:

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Read label directions and cautions before using.
• Always test on a hidden or inconspicuous area first.
• Ready to use. For porous hard and soft surfaces.
• Apply in a fine mist using a less than 60 psi airless pressure sprayer. Do not aerosolize or mist into the air. DO NOT USE A POWER SPRAYER! DO NOT get any of the mist into the air where you might breathe the fumes (you don’t want to coat your lungs with a water-repellant, do you?).
• When applying Sta-Clene, use a solvent-resistant water-free sprayer such as Bane-Clene’s Stainless steel pump-up sprayer.
• May also be applied with a microfiber applicator.
• Coverage: 200 - 300 sq. ft./qt.
• On stone and grout, be sure surface is dry before applying. Allow to soak in and then remove excess by wiping off with towels or bonnet - do not leave on the surface.
• On glazed ceramic tile, after applying & before drying, squeegee excess into the grout before the product dries. Remove from the glazed tile with towels or bonnet before the product dries.
• Reapply after any deep cleaning.
• May also be used on soft, absorptive surfaces.
• If used on leather, PRETEST for dye stability and any damage to the gloss from previous coatings. Also, DO NOT rub in the Sta-Clene onto leather.
• Clean pressure sprayer daily.

   Vacuuming is actually more effective with Scotchgard and Teflon protectors. Dirt is more easily picked up, and fewer passes are required with the vacuum.

   Carpet protectors help keep spills from becoming hard-to-remove spots or stains. It repels liquids, so spills can be blotted up quickly and easily.

   Scotchgard, Bane-Guard and Teflon Advanced both help carpets and furnishings resist stains from both oil and water based foods, including soft drinks, coffee, tea, red wine and grease. They also make blotting up liquid spills easier, help stains release more easily when carpet and upholstery are cleaned, revitalize mill applied stain protection and actually make vacuuming easier.

Scotchgard, Bane-Guard and Teflon protectors can be applied to virtually any type of carpeting, rug, and upholstery fabric to protect against dirt, spots and stains. Soil does not adhere readily to treated fibers and, therefore, can be easily vacuumed away. Forced-in stains can be spot-cleaned more easily by conventional cleaning techniques. Scotchgard, Bane-Guard and Teflon help keep carpeting, rugs and upholstery looking cleaner longer, even after heavy use and regular vacuuming.

Directions:
  Dilute according to label directions and spray onto freshly cleaned damp carpet or on clean dry carpet. Apply with an 8004 Tee jet nozzle with a stainless steel sprayer However, you will find the electric powered Multi-Sprayer^® or the Spray 1^® much easier and faster to use. Do not aerosolize.

Allow 50% overlap and brush or rake the carpet after treatment. The carpet will feel stiff for a few days after the treatment. Wipe off any spray on furniture, baseboards, etc., while wet. Allow 4 days for maximum protection. To prevent material accumulation in spray equipment, clean with fresh water after each use.

NOTE: To be applied only to thoroughly cleaned carpet! Application to soiled carpet will simply lock in soil left in carpet.
