How to Use Stain Magic to Easily Remove Organic, Natural Stains from Carpet:
Keep out of reach of children.
For professional use only! Not for use by consumers!
Read label directions and cautions before using.
Always test on a hidden or inconspicuous area first.
Removal of some of the carpet dye is always possible in this type of system!
Do not use on natural fibers - Stain Magic for Wool is designed for use on wool and other natural fibers.
This product can cause yellowing of wool fibers if allowed to dwell for extended periods of time.
Always test an inconspicuous area for color fastness before using
Always mix fresh solution and use within five minutes.
Do not place mixed solution in a closed container. OR, better yet, use the Dual Chamber Sprayer Kit.
Covering treated fibers with clear plastic will improve performance by extending contact time.
Never place mixed solution in closed container or pressure will build up and cause container to burst.
NEVER mix Stain Magic with Red Relief.
Always dispose of unused solution.
Extraction clean the spot to remove all surface contamination.
Blot the spot as dry as possible with a dry white clean towel.
As with ALL spot and stain removers, always test in an inconspicuous area for color fastness before using.
Mix equal parts of Solution “A” and Solution “B” in a clean separate container or use the dual chamber sprayer kit.
Apply the mixed solution to the stain liberally and evenly to wet all the stained fibers and agitate gently. A trigger sprayer works well for this.
Covering treated fibers with clear plastic will improve performance.
Dwell Time: You may see the stain disappear immediately,
or it may require 1-2 hours for the chemical reaction to reach completion. Some
stains may require up to 12 hours. Covering with CLEAR plastic on difficult stains
such as mustard, curry and wood furniture stains will keep the stain removal process
lasting longer for greater effectiveness.
Rinse with hot water extraction.
If a heavy spill, use Stain Blotter to prevent wicking.
For curry and mustard stain on carpet, steam heat or the Energizer Light is required:
IF USING A STEAM IRON:
Prepare a damp towel and wring out until moderately damp and cover the stain with the damp towel. Apply steam heat to the towel for 1 to 3 minutes, using a steam iron filled with water and set at the lowest steam setting.
DO NOT SET IRON DIRECTLY ON CARPET! Because of its low melting point, do not use an iron on olefin.
Apply the iron directly over the towel covering the stain. Check the stain every 15 seconds. When the stain disappears, discontinue heat and remove the iron and the towel. Be alert for fibers that are not colorfast - if you see color loss, discontinue the heat immediately!
IF USING THE ENERGIZER LIGHT:
Saturate stain with the mixed Stain Magic solution.
Cover stain with the Energizer Light.
Allow the lamp to dwell for time required causing the stain to disappear. Time will vary from 30 minutes to 6 hours, usually overnight: depending on severity of stain.
Extraction rinse the treated area to remove any residue and dry thoroughly.
If a heavy spill, use Stain Blotter to prevent wicking.
Pro’s Choice Stain Magic for Carpet Testimonials From Two Customers:
Just a note to pass on to you a success story that you were a big part of.
Recently a housewife in Fond du Lac called our store in a panic asking how to clean a large spot of grape juice she had spilled on her new carpet the night before. I told her I could come to her house on the way to a cleaning job and look at the carpet and then stop later in the day and work on the stain. On arrival at her home, she explained to me the following:
She spilled a large glass of grape juice on the carpet.
She had heard that shaving cream worked well on spots, so she had put on a fair amount of shaving cream and tried to get the stain out - to no avail.
She then tried vinegar, which also proved to be unsuccessful.
She then used an entire can of a commercial, off-the-shelf type of carpet cleaner. No success.
Then her husband came home and was not at all pleased in the spilling or the cleaning attempts. He used their home shampoo machine with clear water for an hour on the spot and had limited success.
She called us first thing the next morning.
I called you and went through this entire story and your recommendations were to extract as best I could and get it as dry as I could, then apply Stain Magic according to the suggested procedures for using Stain Magic. I did just that and the next day, the husband called our store and informed our receptionist that “your carpet cleaning man is a genius. The stain is gone and we will now live happily ever after.”
Thanks for treating a “genius” with good, solid, effective advice.

These are pictures we cleaned of spilled paint. To clean it off, we applied TLS® 2000 directly (not diluted), agitated the solution and extracted. Next we applied Power Gel, it dwelled for 10 minutes, extracted and repeated the process twice. Final step was Stain Magic, dwelled for 3 days. Then cleaned with PCA®, using our Bane-Clene truck mounted unit.
